The Regional Strategic Bodies and Regional Colleges (Glasgow and Lanarkshire) Order 2025 [draft]

  1. The Regional Strategic Bodies and Regional Colleges (Glasgow and Lanarkshire) Order 2025 [draft] was laid before Parliament on 1 May 2025.

  1. The purpose of the instrument is to abolish two regional strategic bodies (RSBs) and designate four regional colleges under the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005.

  1. The Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee considered the regulations on 13 May 2025. The Committee published its report on 15 May 2025 and made no recommendations in relation to the regulations.

  1. At its meeting on 28 May 2025, the Committee took evidence from Graeme Dey MSP, Minister for Higher and Further Education; and Minister for Veterans and Jess Dolan, Head of Institutional Governance and Reform, Scottish Government.
