Perhaps we should use the term "business" rather than "corporate", which always suggests big business to me. Many smaller businesses contribute at a local level, because they have a commitment to their local communities.

However, the power is narrow in the sense that it does not apply to other legislation, but purely to the bill. Many Henry VIII powers that the committee has seen allow ministers to change measures in a range of different legislation, whereas the present power relates only to this one bill.
