The Bill as amended at Stage 2 provides that the sunset provisions that apply to the keeping pace power do not begin until the day section 1(1) comes into force. This compares to the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee’s Stage 1 recommendation that the sunset provisions should apply from when the Bill receives Royal Assent.
