When we have to get a medical report, before we even ask our consultant to examine the client, the hospital will charge an administration fee of £40 for our client's records. That charge was not levied 10 years ago. If the cost per case is broken down, in civil and criminal legal aid, it will be found that the outlays have escalated constantly.
