We have a letter from Levy & McRae, which acts on behalf of the former First Minister, and it says quite clearly that the Scottish Government’s position, which is that whether the committee obtains documents is a matter for the courts, is in some way incorrect.

That has been the case recently not least in Edinburgh, with the research paper that was published last week about what Mr Wightman will remember has been called the tourist tax—I forget its official title.
