Of course, although they might identify the sites that are best in terms of the interconnection between masts, they might have to discount them at a later date. That was certainly the case with the two most recent cases, which were very contentious.Unlike a lot of people, I have a great deal of sympathy for telecommunications companies.

What timescale is envisaged for introducing the bill? We do not have an absolute date at the moment, as we will be getting into the next parliamentary year, but there has been parallel consultation and we hope that the bill will be introduced relatively early, as I do not want the matter hanging about.
