For instance, we raise the highly unpopular prospect that committees might start meeting during recesses. If the workload is greater and nobody is prepared to increase the number of MSPs to increase the number of possible committees, perhaps committee meetings during recesses should be considered.
Once the six-week period has passed, we will publish the report and lay it before Parliament on the first available date. That is an attempt to bring resolution and closure quickly.Most of the cases on which we decide are resolved not by reports to Parliament but by decision letters.
They have continued to say that there are duties in the existing legislation, but the fact is that, to date, those duties have not delivered what people and Parliament wanted.

However, that happened six months later than the agreed date to have the project on site. I go back to what I said earlier: if there is direct appointment with the right people, you can work within the restraints as long as it is collaborative and we all have a win-win attitude.
As a consequence of internal schisms in the Tory party that date back decades, Scotland finds itself at risk of losing the substantial benefits of membership of the European internal market.
That work is on-going. Do not ask me for a completion date, because I cannot give you that; a number of factors will influence that, but we are taking steps.
The Government has concentrated much of its effort on supporting young people—defined as 16 to 19-year-olds—given the severity of the recession’s impact on young people. We took that decision pragmatically, recognising that many people who are over 18 are often mandated to take part in programmes that the United Kingdom Government runs.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will list all (a) activities and (b) events that each minister attended in connection with St Andrew’s day 2010, providing the (i) date, (ii) name, (iii) description and (iv) purpose of each.
