One relevant consideration is the fact that the board's estimates for registrations over the next five years indicate that, in five years' time, there will be only 20 registered practitioners compared with 13 at present. Whether or not that count takes place on the same day as the local government count is a different issue.It was surprising that, when we turned up on the day after the election to count the local government results, that was a comparative doddle. The count was over quickly.
