That would have obvious and serious implications for regional and national diversity, not to mention the impact that there would be on Scotland's creative economy. STV is pitching for some form of subsidy in order to maintain its news and PSB programmes but, if support is needed, it should not come from licence fees.

Recently, I attended an under-13 Scottish cup tie at Barrhead and was disappointed to discover that ballots were still being held for teams to gain access to play on grass football pitches. Will the minister give an assurance that initiatives will be discussed to ensure that Scottish children have access to grass football pitches throughout Scotland?
