Adherence to standards and legislation is monitored and evaluated through programmes of inspection by Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS) and Education Scotland.
As part of the introduction to policing programme, candidates go up to the Scottish Police College for a couple of weekends and bring their parents and relatives with them.
