Scottish Public Services Ombudsman Bill Policy Memorandum
The Ombudsman will be required to submit annual accounts to the Auditor General for Scotland for auditing. The levy which local authorities currently pay to Audit Scotland to fund the Local Government Ombudsman will be discontinued but there will need to be a small reduction in local authorities’ revenue support grant equivalent to the amount of the levy.
