When I travel down to Argyll to see my wife’s relatives, as I do two or three times a year, or when I am going to see my mother in Kilmarnock, it is very evident to me that Scotland has benefited quite substantially from EU structural funds. The committee has taken a real interest in the regional development fund and the structural funds.
