I narrowly avoided homelessness when I was evicted from a flat by a dodgy landlord long before some of the current protections were in place, so I take very seriously the impact on people’s lives when they encounter those behaviours or practices. The longer-term work on homelessness prevention duties is, I think, long awaited by the sector.
