*S6M-02319 Stuart McMillan: Inverclyde’s Libraries Recognised for Excellent Services During the Pandemic—That the Parliament congratulates Inverclyde’s libraries on receiving high praise from the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) for their approach to keeping the community connected and engaged during the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that SLIC judges said that the service was good at responding to the needs of the community by offering a range of digital skills training, an extensive range of online events, and that it demonstrated clarity of thinking about how digital technology can enhance library services as well as a strong sense of purpose in creating a robust digital service; recognises that SLIC provided Inverclyde Library Service with a commendation prize, which was received by library staff in Port Glasgow; applauds library staff across Inverclyde for their response to the pandemic, helping people stay connected and engaged with their services even during the height of the lockdown, and wishes them all the best as they continue to offer invaluable services to the people of Inverclyde.
