To ask the Scottish Executive what action it will take to ensure that 1998-99 audits of local authorities are completed to an acceptable standard and submitted by the due date of 30 June 2000. The 30 June is the statutory deadline for the submission of unaudited accounts for the financial year 1999-2000.

The Scottish Executive did not respond to this public consultation exercise, whose closing date was 23 July. Road Traffic law, including fixed penalties, is a matter mainly reserved to Westminster.

To ask the Scottish Executive on what date Planning Application 98/01178/COU, approved by South Ayrshire Council, was received by the Scottish Executive for its approval.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has appointed a Chief of Staff and if so, from what date, and with what duties and to whom is the person accountable.
There will also be a schools visit in South Lanarkshire towards the end of November, although I cannot remember the exact date. We pay such visits regularly and have had those sorts of issues flagged up.As members will know, there are 16 and 18-year-olds who want to raise issues with politicians.
