The Scottish Ambulance Service has provided the following table setting out rostered resources based at Clydebank Ambulance Station.

Notes:

*PRU = Paramedic Response Unit

*The day, night and back shifts will cover a variety of shift patterns.

The Scottish Ambulance Service have confirmed that the accident and emergency ambulances operating from Clydebank Ambulance Station are rostered to be double-crewed by a paramedic and a technician, and that the PRU is rostered to be crewed by a paramedic.

All adverse incidents reported to the Incident Reporting and Investigation Centre (IRIC) of National Services Scotland are reviewed and, where appropriate, an in depth investigation into the cause undertaken. Adverse incidents can arise from a number of causes which include either a failure or fault with a medical device, incorrect use or issues with the packaging, storage or instructions for use.

Information from both adverse incident reports and investigations is shared with the Medical and Healthcare products Regulatory Authority (MHRA) who assess the most appropriate form of remedial action including issuing a medical device alert, or discussions the manufacturer and issue of a Field Safety Notice.

A scoping exercise in 2009, found insufficient evidence for an economic case to support the development of a Residential Pain Management Programme.

There is no target for the number of paramedics in Scottish Ambulance Service crews.
