2 February 2022: The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the basis that the Scottish Government, Police Scotland and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service have detailed various offences which may be relevant in circumstances where a person enters the home of another without permission; and Police Scotland are unaware of any scenarios where the existing law would be insufficient to deal with matters criminally if required.
