  • Date lodged: Monday, 09 September 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-14390

That the Parliament congratulates site managers on being awarded Quality Awards at the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards 2024, namely Eric Wallace of Orkney Builders (Contractors) Ltd for the Walliwall Farm development in Kirkwall, Alan Wharton of Places for People Scotland for the Black Isle View development in Inverness, John Dawson of Robertson Homes Ltd Scotland for the Torvean development in Inverness, and Norman Bruce of Scotia Homes Ltd for the Dalfaber Aviemore development in Aviemore; understands that these site managers were in the top 5% of over 8,000 entries from across the UK; appreciates that Pride in the Job is the only UK-wide competition dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house building, and wishes the award winners all the best of luck as they move onto the Regional Awards stage, the winners of which will attend the Supreme Awards in January 2025.
