That the Parliament congratulates local artist, Megan Reilly, a former pupil of Dalziel High School, on her two giant dogs currently on show in a public art display, Scotties by the Sea, which is being shown in and around St Andrews; understands that her works, Highland Scottie and The Big Yin, in tribute to Billy Connolly, took a painstaking 120 hours to paint in total; further understands that the works will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Maggie Cancer Caring Centre; notes that Megan’s first sculpture was United Colours of Our Wullie, which was part of the Big Bucket Trail in 2019, where her piece alone raised £5,500 for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital; thanks Megan for her amazing pieces of artwork across Scotland, and wishes her all the best for the future.
