Aberdeen Teen Wins Silver at European Boxing Confederation’s School Championships

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen’s Michael Kahl on winning silver at the European Boxing Confederation’s School Championships in Slovenia; notes that the 13-year-old, of Byron Boxing Club in Northfield, represented Scotland as part of a seven-strong team of young boxers; understands that Michael only had six contests heading into the event, and competed closely in the 75kg division final to win silver in a narrow points decision; further understands that, altogether, 385 boxers, 251 boys and 124 girls, competed in the prestigious competition, and that Scotland placed 12th of the 32 nations in the medal table; congratulates Michael on a great achievement, and wishes Byron Boxing Club well going forward.
