That the Parliament welcomes the opening of the staff wellbeing centre at University Hospital Ayr; acknowledges that this represents the opening of the last of three staff wellbeing centres in NHS Ayrshire and Arran, with centres currently active at Ayrshire Central Hospital and University Hospital Crosshouse; understands that these wellbeing centres provide staff with an opportunity to cope with the emotional and physical stress that comes with their line of work, away from a clinical setting; recognises that the opening of this centre will provide staff within University Hospital Ayr with the opportunity to access greater support in areas such as clinical psychology and staff care; believes that these centres will help to meet the support needs of many staff by allowing them to come together to support each other in upholding the provision of high-quality care to patients; considers that staff wellbeing centres play a key role in making medical workers feel valued and cared for within their work, and wishes the best to the new staff wellbeing centre at University Hospital Ayr in providing support to medical staff.
