That the Parliament congratulates Care and Repair Lanarkshire on being awarded the inaugural Mark McCall Home Safety Fund; notes that the cheque for £3,000 was presented at the 10th Anniversary of the CPG Accident Prevention and Safety Awareness by the Scottish Community Safety Network (SCSN), in partnership with Fife Council and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA); understands that the awards are in honour of Mark McCall, a former Chairperson of SCSN, who played an instrumental role in the evolution and development of the organisation, and, who sadly passed away in 2021 of pancreatic cancer; further understands that Care and Repair Lanarkshire will use the money to provide safety equipment, to families with children under five, to reduce preventable accidents and injury within the home; commends what it sees as the dedication and commitment by SCSN, RoSPA, and all the other organisations who work tirelessly to highlight dangers, save lives and prevent life-changing injures, and thanks Care and Repair Lanarkshire for its commitment across the community.
