That the Parliament welcomes the awarding of a National Lottery Community Grant of £9,730 to the Children’s Wood based in the Glasgow Kelvin constituency; notes that this funding will be used to deliver local gardening sessions, including toddler sessions and other community events in local green space; understands that the Children’s Wood on North Kelvin Meadow, and the Meadow itself, make up the last wild space in the west-end of Glasgow and believes that this space is vitally important to the community; further understands that the Children’s Wood aims to support the advancement of education by providing a recreational facility and organising activities to connect children to nature, raise aspirations, and bring people together to promote citizenship and community development, arts, heritage, culture and science, and congratulates the Children’s Wood on securing this funding.
