  • Motion reference: S6M-07303

That the Parliament recognises INEOS in Grangemouth for its recent donation of £15,000 to the Ochils Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT); understands that INEOS made the donation from its charitable community fund to the OMRT, supporting the vital work that the organisation does keeping hikers and climbers safe in the local hills and mountains; notes the work of the OMRT, which is a group of volunteers, based in Fishcross near Alloa, who operate a 24-hour, year-round service and dedicate their time to locating and recovering people who have fallen into difficulty when exploring the outdoors; recognises that the OMRT applied for funding through the INEOS Community Fund to provide the team with waterproof technical clothing, a crucial part of providing appropriate response and support to those vulnerable in the outdoors; further recognises INEOS for its Community Fund, which was established in 2020 to initially support communities around its sites to recover from the impact of COVID-19; congratulates the OMRT on its successful funding bid, and wishes the team all the best for the future.
