That the Parliament considers that East Kilbride Ice Rink is actively committed to accessibility and ensuring equality of opportunity for skaters of all ages and abilities; understands that the ice rink has successfully been holding open sessions for skaters of all abilities to enjoy the ice; recognises the positive impact that ice skating can have on the health and wellbeing of many people, including Steven Duffy, who regularly attends open sessions at East Kilbride Ice Rink with his care worker, Graeme Ashwood; congratulates Steven and Graeme on sharing their positive and inspiring experience on the ice in the media, helping to encourage others to visit East Kilbride Ice Rink, and commends South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture for, it considers, creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming community hub within East Kilbride Ice Rink, which is based in the Olympia Shopping Centre.
