  • Motion reference: S6M-06482

That the Parliament recognises the achievement of the McGowan family in raising over £4,500 for the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH), following the excellent care that it understands was provided to Joseph McGowan in his final days; understands that the father of two boys, four-year-old Ronin, and two-year-old Isaac, unfortunately passed away at the RAH and received exceptional care from all the staff members during this time; further understands that specifically Dr Patrick McGoey and Dr David Gray were instrumental in providing what it considers as the outstanding care, as well as the rest of the doctors and nurses in the intensive and palliative care wards; congratulates all of Joseph’s family and friends for raising this amount of money in order to help the hospital; notes that a group of Joseph’s friends walked the West Highland Way and raised nearly £3,000 of the £4,709 raised overall; wishes Joseph’s family and friends all best wishes for the future, and is sorry for their loss.
