That the Parliament welcomes the ASDA Foundation’s Empowering Local Communities’ Grant, which awarded Broom Parish Church and the Eaglesham Fair both £1,000 towards Jubilee celebrations; congratulates the 1st Newton Mearns Rainbows on being awarded ASDA’s Under-18s Better Starts Grant of £600 for the group’s work to improve the lives of children and young people in the community, and commends the ASDA Foundation’s initiatives over the last year that have meant £900,000 has been invested in community projects and good causes across the country, including in Eastwood.
