That the Parliament congratulates Uddingston electrical engineer, and former electrical apprentice, David Hunter, on winning the Stuart Gemmel Outstanding Achievement Award at the BESA Scotland ceremony, which was held in the Scottish Parliament on 23 June 2022; notes that the BESA Stuart Gemmel Outstanding Achievement Award is granted to an individual that demonstrates exceptional customer service and team working, as well as innovative thinking and commitment to the building engineering services industry; applauds David for what it sees as his outstanding professional development and focus on continuous improvement since completing his apprenticeship in 2017; understands that this includes completing tertiary qualifications in both electrical engineering and facilities management and undertaking a series of critical electrical and facilities management projects, all culminating in his current appointment as Asset Survey and Lifecycle Manager at Atalian Servest where, it understands, he has significantly expanded the organisation’s commercial activities whilst developing and mentoring others in his growing team, and wishes David further professional success as he builds on his already highly successful career in the building engineering services industry.
