Ostro Passivhaus, Kippen - RIAS and BBC Scotland's Home of the Year Finalists

That the Parliament congratulates Paper Igloo Ltd, of Kippen, on its successes with the building of its Ostro Passivhaus, in Kippen, which has been shortlisted for the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) Awards 2022, and named as a finalist in BBC Scotland's "Scotland's Home of the Year 2022"; notes that the Ostro Passivhaus is described as a contemporary and low-energy dwelling and attained Gold accreditation in Section 7 of the Scottish Technical Standards; understands that the aim of the Ostro Passivhaus is to demonstrate both beauty and durability in the face of the climate crisis; commends Paper Igloo Ltd on successfully being shortlisted as one of 14 buildings in the running for the 2022 RIAS Awards, which champion Scottish architecture by recognising the best new buildings built in 2022, and further commends Paper Igloo Ltd on Ostro Passivhaus successfully being named as a finalist in BBC Scotland's "Scotland's Home of the Year 2022", which identifies outstanding homes with distinctive design, individuality and exceptional interiors with the aim of naming Scotland's Home of the Year.
