  • Submitted by: Stephanie Callaghan, Uddingston and Bellshill, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 09 May 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-04286

That the Parliament congratulates Tannoch Tots Nursery in Tannochside, Uddingston, on becoming the 100th business in North Lanarkshire to be accredited as a real Living Wage employer; understands that, by signing up as a real Living Wage employer, the nursery is committing to pay its staff a fair and reasonable wage to assist them with an affordable quality of life, offer them financial security and show them that they are valued; further understands that Tannoch Tots joins over 2,500 employers in Scotland committed to paying a Living Wage based on the cost of living, and welcomes what it sees as the continued increase in accredited Living Wage employers in North Lanarkshire, and Scotland, as a testament, it believes, to the benefits gained by employees and employers, in terms of demonstrating their values and helping to attract, retain and motivate good people.
