That the Parliament recognises the achievement of fiddle player, Eryn Rae, of Jedburgh, who was named winner of the title of BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of 2022; notes that Eryn Rae saw off five other finalists to take the honour; understands that she was presented with the award by BBC Scotland commissioning editor Gareth Hydes; notes that the competition was able to return to the City Halls in Glasgow for the first time in two years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic; believes that the competition showcases the best of Scotland’s talented young musicians; commends Eryn Rae on her fantastic achievement, and wishes her well for her final year of studying traditional music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
