Graeme Massie says Goodbye to Blelack Farm

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 18 November 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-02154

That the Parliament recognises that Graeme Massie, of Blelack Farm in Dinnet, Aberdeenshire, has sold the prominent Blelack Aberdeen-Angus herd, marking the end of an era for the Massie family after his father, Neil, founded the herd in 1967; understands that the herd was recognised as one of the most successful in the country, with more Aberdeen-Angus champions at the Perth and Stirling bull sale than any other, including a roll of honour of 11 supreme championships, eight reserves and countless other championships; recognises the impact that this sale will have on the farming sector; congratulates Graeme and the farm team on their achievements and outstanding contribution to livestock breeding, and wishes them all the best for the future.
