Ghillied's Work to Respond to Climate Change

  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 15 November 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-02086

That the Parliament congratulates Rory Leigh on establishing the sustainable clothing brand, Ghillied, which manufactures leggings from recycled fishing nets and nylon and repurposes waste to help reduce its environmental impact; applauds what it sees as this fantastic work in responding to climate change and fast fashion; notes that it is estimated that this saves 115,000 tons of CO2 with each batch of production, the equivalent of powering 168 homes for one month, and wishes Rory and the team at Ghillied all the best for the future.
