Perth’s Walled Garden Receives National Lottery Funding

That the Parliament congratulates the Walled Garden in Perth on being awarded funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which will be used to restore and rebuild its paths and glasshouse to make them accessible; notes that the funding is part of a grant of £121,778 given to the Room for Recovery – Horticulture, Heritage and Healing project, run in Mid Scotland and Fife; further notes that the funding will also install heritage interpretation and develop and deliver an activity and skills programme for the Walled Garden, which is run by the Perth and Kinross Association of Voluntary Service (PKAVS) and is a haven for people recovering from mental health illness, and wishes the Walled Garden all the best for the future.
