Best Takeaway in Scotland

That the Parliament congratulates Burger Island, in Burntisland, on being named the Best Takeaway in Scotland at the British Takeaway Awards; understands that the national awards event, which is now in its sixth year, rewards the dedication of local takeaways across a multitude of cuisines, recognising their contribution to the economy on a national scale; notes that the family run business has been serving, mainly seasonal visitors who arrive for the shows, from Burntisland Links for 29 years, in addition to its recently opened second outlet on the High Street, where locals can now enjoy sitting-in for food; praises the owner, Raina Miller, and all the staff at Burger Island, past and present, for their dedication to preparing and serving freshly prepared food of the highest quality, which has secured them this national accolade, and wishes them all the best for the future.
