That the Parliament congratulates the parents, Rachael Cosgrove and Michael Campbell, and Kirklandneuk Primary Parent Council, on their successful campaign to get a defibrillator installed at every primary school campus in Renfrew; understands that their activism was inspired by seeing the quick support given to the Danish international footballer, Christian Eriksen, who collapsed on the pitch during Euro 2020; commends Renfrewshire Council for committing to install a defibrillator at the entrance to every primary and secondary school by the end of 2021; notes that immediate initiation of CPR can quadruple the chance of survival from an out-of-hospital heart attack and that defibrillation within five minutes of collapse, can produce survival rates up to 70%, and hopes that Renfrewshire's residents will benefit from having access to the life-saving devices in their communities 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.
