New College Lanarkshire Students Undertake Barbicide Course

That the Parliament congratulates hairdressing and beauty students at New College Lanarkshire who have completed new training in health and safety protocols; notes that the students, as well as staff, have undertaken Barbicide COVID-19 Certification, which has been introduced as a result of the coronavirus pandemic; understands that Barbicide is widely used by cosmetologists for disinfecting tools such as combs and scissors; acknowledges that students have learned about infection control measures, including how to use the disinfectant and dispose of PPE safely; commends the college for offering this training to current students as well as students enrolling in the new academic year, and welcomes all the measures put in place by the students and college in recognition of the importance of hygiene during the coronavirus pandemic and thereafter.
