Becca’s Care Packages Reaches 500 People

That the Parliament congratulates 19-year-old Rebecca Hammell from Aberdeen on the success of her care package initiative, Becca’s Care Packages; recognises that, since starting the project, Becca’s Care Packages has reached over 500 people with mental and/or physical ill health, with some packages going overseas as far as the United States and Australia; understands that the care packages are made up of everyday items to help promote self-care and include toiletries, puzzle books, toys, clothing and positive quote cards; acknowledges what it sees as the positive impact that these care packages will have on the mental and physical wellbeing of those who receive them; understands that many have been sent in bulk to food banks, churches, homeless charities and hospital wards across the country, including the Royal Cornhill Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital; commends Rebecca for her valued efforts and creativity to date, and wishes the project every success for the future.
