Kirknewton Community Development Trust Receives Funding

That the Parliament congratulates Kirknewton Community Development Trust on its award of £40,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund; understands that the award has been made to enable the Trust to produce a comic book on the history of the village; recognises that the project involves engaging with young and old people and capturing their stories about life and work in Kirknewton, which will then be translated into a free 80-page comic book with art from top writers, artists and community members, and wishes the Trust and the participants every success with their project.
