That the Parliament acknowledges research by the BBC and Endometriosis UK regarding the impact of endometriosis; recognises that half of those who participated in the research stated that endometriosis had caused them to experience suicidal thoughts, and had a negative impact on their lives, relationships and careers; believes that endometriosis affects around one in 10 women in the UK; considers that the Scottish Government’s commitment to a women’s health fund should be used to improve diagnosis, treatment and support for those with endometriosis; understands that women, trans men and non-binary people affected by endometriosis can experience heavy and painful bleeding, and considers that access to free period products would help people who experience these symptoms.
