That the Parliament notes that West Lothian College’s childhood practice managers, Claire Glen and Anna Styles, joined representatives from the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) and Inverness College to speak at the Men in the Early Years conference in London on 4 September 2019 on how they are encouraging men into careers in childcare and early years; notes that the college was one of just two in Scotland to receive funding from the SFC Men in Early Years Challenge Fund and that it is working with male secondary school pupils and unemployed men to challenge negative perceptions of careers in early years, and acknowledges that they will share their project findings to date with other colleges at a SFC seminar in Stirling on 26 September.
