That the Parliament congratulates Inveralmond Community High School in Livingston on winning the 2019 Pump It Up challenge; understands that 11 secondary school teams from across West Lothian reached the finals of the challenge, which were held at Howden Park Centre in Livingston on 4 June 2019; recognises that this is the fifth year of the challenge, which is organised by West Lothian Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning Systems, where teams of young people are challenged to create an innovative use of a heat pump; recognises that the aim of the challenge, as well as bringing industry and schools closer together, is to encourage third year pupils to think about product development and design alongside developing their presentation and team-building skills; understands that the Inveralmond team’s idea was to use a heat pump to heat up airport runways, making them safer to use during snow and icy weather and that they presented their winning design, the "Frost Fighter" to a panel of judges; congratulates all those who took park in the challenge, and wishes continued success to the Inveralmond team and all the pupils who participated.
