Asda Green Token Giving in Motherwell and Newmains

  • Submitted by: Clare Adamson, Motherwell and Wishaw, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 02 April 2019
  • Motion reference: S5M-16720

That the Parliament commends Asda's Motherwell and Newmains stores on supporting community groups projects through the Green Token Giving Programme, which sees customers and staff using tokens to vote for their favourite projects; understands that, in the most recent round, Windmills Lanarkshire and Newmains Bowling Club were each awarded £500 and that the Autism Take 5 Support Group, the Basics Foodbank North Lanarkshire, the Les Hoey MBE Dream Maker Foundation Scotland and the St Brigid’s Primary School PTA all received £200, and wishes all of these groups and projects well in their endeavours.
