Lots of Socks to Mark Down's Syndrome Awareness Day

  • Submitted by: James Kelly, Glasgow, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 14 March 2019
  • Motion reference: S5M-16359

That the Parliament acknowledges that 21 March marks Down’s Syndrome Awareness Day 2019; notes that, this year, it will be celebrated across the world as "Lots of Socks Day", using socks as a symbol to represent an extra chromosome, and encourages Members to show support for the cause on the day by wearing odd socks.
