That the Parliament congratulates the Cleland Miners ABC boxer, Stephanie Kernachan, on being selected as one of three Scottish boxers to become the first female representatives for the country at the World Elite Championships in New Delhi in December 2018; acknowledges that Stephanie has had a successful year in the ring, winning the Scottish championships, narrowly missing out on the British title via a split decision and winning her opening bout at the Balkans International Boxing Tournament in Bulgaria; acknowledges the hard work and commitment of Stephanie’s personal coach, Stevie Newns Snr, and the club coach, Ronnie Blackwood, and wishes Stephanie and everyone at Cleland Miners ABC every success for the future.
