Harris Anderson, Mission to Mars

  • Submitted by: Jenny Gilruth, Mid Fife and Glenrothes, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 17 August 2018
  • Motion reference: S5M-13564

That the Parliament congratulates Harris Anderson, a 17-year-old student at Levenmouth Academy, on his recent visit to the United Space School in Houston, Texas; notes that the unique educational experience brings together children from across the world and gives them the challenge to plan a manned mission to Mars; notes that Harris was part of the team that focused on landing and taking off from Mars; recognises that this was possible because of Harris’s fundraising efforts after seeking the help of companies in the area, as well as receiving an award from Pfaudler Balfour in Leven; praises Harris’s plans to go to university to study chemical engineering after finishing school, and wishes Harris the best of luck with his future.
