NHS Borders, Celebrating Excellence Awards

That the Parliament congratulates all of the recipients of NHS Borders' Celebrating Excellence Awards; understands that Claire Grieve was presented with the Chairman’s Award for her work improving perinatal mental health services in the Borders; recognises that NHS Borders' Values Award winner was Anne Simpson, who is a senior charge nurse, while the midwife sonographer, Ann Lynch, was the winner of the Person-centred Care category, and Lisa Clark, senior charge nurse in charge of mental health, was recognised in the Innovation and Improvement category; notes that Primary Care Provider for 2018 was Dr Vikas Das Mahesh GP and the district nurses at the Waverley Medical Practice in Galashiels; understands that, this year, there was the addition of the Platinum Award for Outstanding Contribution and Dedication to NHS Borders, created to mark the 70th anniversary of the NHS, which was awarded to Jackie Brand, who is the emergency department charge nurse; recognises that 14 awards were handed out in total, and commends everyone at NHS Borders for the invaluable work that they do.
