  • Submitted by: Jamie Halcro Johnston, Highlands and Islands, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 18 May 2018
  • Motion reference: S5M-12333

That the Parliament congratulates three organisations based in Moray on securing funding from the Asda Foundation to support their local fundraising efforts; notes that the allocation of funding was decided by customers at the Asda Elgin store on the basis of a green token allocation; acknowledges that Defibs for Moray secured the highest number of customer votes winning £500; recognises the importance of defibrillator machines being widely available and the significant role of community groups in ensuring local access; welcomes that the two runners-up, Alzheimer Scotland Moray and the Morayvia visitor centre in Forres, will also each receive £200 funding, and expresses its hope that this support will help these organisations with their work.
