That the Parliament congratulates South Lanarkshire Council on being presented with the Excellence in Regeneration Award at 2017’s Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland Excellence Awards; notes that the local authority was one of 14 winners honoured at a ceremony at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh; understands that South Lanarkshire Council won the accolade for the regeneration of the Fernhill area in Rutherglen, and recognises that the major work undertaken in Fernhill has been of great benefit to the local residents.
