Valentini's, Giffnock's Longest-trading Business

  • Submitted by: Jackson Carlaw, Eastwood, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 30 October 2017
  • Motion reference: S5M-08489

That the Parliament congratulates Valentini's on becoming Giffnock's longest-trading business; understands that it has been running as an ice cream parlour in Giffnock for 54 years; congratulates the current operators, Anna and Vincent Valentini, on continuing the work of their parents, Bernardo and Mirella Valentini, who first opened the ice cream parlour and an Italian restaurant next door on Giffnock's Fenwick Road some 54 years ago; is aware of the importance of Valentini's to so many in Eastwood who have enjoyed its delicious ice cream and friendly service from childhood to adulthood, and wishes Valentini's every success into the future as it continues to be right at the heart of the Eastwood community.
